In the weeds

I believe I have said before that I love to explore. I had been to Cloud 9.1’s store before, but I hadn’t realized that there was an entire sim full of beautiful urban wasteland until I saw James Schwarz’s recent post. It’s worth a visit — a well-made crumbling city atmosphere. I’m always fond of those.

Here, for slogging around in cold, muddy empty lots full of rusted metal and daisies and garbage, I am in the new shearling boots from Reek. They were L$50 on Friday, and probably still are, because Riq Graves is pretty nice about leaving his FLF items out longer than he needs to.

Speaking of weekly sales, I am also rocking the Stumblebum item from Shag. Oh god, I love Sebastien Aries’ hairs. So easy to resize, so nicely made and textured, and so creative in styling. I have such a big folder of Shag hair now it’s just sad, and I really like this one.

A couple posts ago, I mentioned that I’d gotten a really great sweater from Ducknipple the same time I picked up that hoodie jacket. This is that sweater. Love the shirt poking out — I know Takuya Jinn at Gabriel’s been getting a lot of blog press lately for his (admittedly very nice) sweater and shirt, but beanster’s is equally fantastic and won’t break the bank.

Still wearing my glasses from Muism (did I ever mention the frames change texture? Seriously, I love these glasses) and a cool wrench from 19mc. Look for more in the future.

About Vaki

Seriously, Mega Shark v. Giant Octopus is a masterpiece of modern cinema. What? It has Deborah Gibson in it. And there's this one scene where...what? Oh, like there's something better than a mega shark leaping out of the ocean and biting a plane in half. Whatever.

Wow, your glasses impress me. My PrimOptic ones have a huge range of customizations, but the texture change is a cool plus.

I love the way your sweater works with the urban background, but pops from it at the same time – great work!

Yeah, I looked at the PrimOptic glasses way back when, and it seemed like I’d be paying for a ton of options that I didn’t actually want and would never use. The Muism glasses have texture change frames and lenses; I also have hoorenbeek glasses I occasionally wear that I like because I can wear them hooked into my shirt or jeans or pushed up onto my head. You might also like Crie. Alphavillian is making some really great glasses right now that actually does the shine on the lens right — I haven’t bought any yet, but I really should. Maybe soon I’ll do a blog post on glasses…
