We can sing just like our fathers

These people round here
Wear beaten down eyes sunk in smoke dried faces
They’re so resigned to what their fate is
But not us, no not us
We are far too young and clever

This is entirely Grazia’s fault. She put together the awesome Addicted to Love shot, but blasphemously claimed that was the best 80s song ever. It was not! Clearly, the quintessential 80s song is Come On Eileen, am I right? And then Grazia dared me to do photos, and IT WAS ON.

It’s all about the overalls from Sheep Door. They’re perfectly sculpted to give big baggy legs and a floppy front, the way overalls are meant to be. I own a lot of overalls in SL, and the vast majority of them are textured system pieces, so no matter how good the textures, they’re never going to look right: they’re going to be form-fitting and skin-tight. Overalls are meant to be floppy and baggy and comfy, and meito Karu has just nailed it with these. As a side note, Sheep Door has a fantastic set of khaki short overalls out as a group gift at the main store. They’re not the same as these, but they’re also awesome.

I’m also rocking the brilliant Ashford Brogues from Rob Moonites at FIR & MNA. I’ve been wearing these pretty constantly since they came out — they’re great shoes that work really well with a suit or dressed down with jeans. Great textures, nice details down to the stitching, laces, and grommets.

About Vaki

Seriously, Mega Shark v. Giant Octopus is a masterpiece of modern cinema. What? It has Deborah Gibson in it. And there's this one scene where...what? Oh, like there's something better than a mega shark leaping out of the ocean and biting a plane in half. Whatever.
