As pretty much everybody already knows, Tableau Vivant just opened. Tableau Vivant is a much-anticipated collaboration between Aida Ewing and M4r1lyn Magic of Glam Affair, offering avant garde clothing, poses, furniture, make-up, and photography accessories. As far as I can tell, the clothing available at Tableau Vivant is men’s clothes (which makes sense, as Glam Affair’s clothing is geared towards women). And it’s fantastic. Guys: it’s very androgynous. If you’re at all familiar with M4r1lyn’s style, it all looks like you’re raiding his closet: sumptuous fabric textures, elegant tailoring, an excellent blend of masculine and feminine elements in every piece. And the fabric textures are sumptuous: seriously, you guys, check out these trousers. The beautiful seam up the front; the wrinkles, shading, and light that suggest a silky crispness; the shine on the button. I love details like these.
It’s really some nice stuff. I’m already looking forward to seeing what else comes out from this brand — the world needs more good androgyny, especially if it can keep from straying into the realm of the absurd. For now: well done indeed.

your new blog format looks really great. ❤
Thank you! My old theme kept glitching out, and I’ve needed a kick in the pants to redo it, so I just said ffs and buckled down and made it happen.
I like that metal bar.
That bar is awesome. It’s from Lithium, and it’s got a bunch of poses in it, but I’m not using one of those. It’s a great pose prop.
